1. Meeting Summary for 02/19/99
No changes other than correction of Dick Raub’s name.
2. Liaison Report
- Update Information sheet or develop new brochure with Web
information (by May 13th)
- Steve Levine: June 1-3 I-95 Corridor Meetings, will need an updated
brochure to distribute at meetings
- Ron Sonntag: will liaison with TRB Fwy. Ops along with Steve Levine
(Lou Neudorff)
- Barry Drogin: will liaison with AASHTO ATMS subcommittee
- Need to include participation with law enforcement and other public
safety representatives and organizations. (EMS, ComCare, etc.)
- Bruce Churchill: informal liaison with ComCare
3. Key Issues and Practices (KIP)
Bruce Churchill: informal KIP kick-off could be NIMC Conference
in Texas (mid-September). Give objectives of committee, etc. Need to get
spot on agenda.

Sam Subramaniam: talked to Tom Brahams, working, with Chris
Johnson about national exposure (Sam to talk further with Corbin
"off-line")
2000 TRB: ITE TIM Committee to fully support and participate in TRB
incident management conference.
5. 99-00 Committee Action Plan
- Added to the Action Plan: (Two items)
- Document what needs to be done (national to local) as far as
outreach to public safety, law enforcement, etc. What resources are
necessary? Who will be responsible, who will be the key players?
- Develop a joint proposal for multi-disciplined coalition.
(transportation-public safety coalition)
- Develop a proposal to solicit resources to sustain the Incident
Management Network possibly through contracted support.
6. Web Site Status
- Barry Drogin: offered to help with website
- "Chat" capabilities may not be completely effective
- Model of ICDN (bulletin board) is actually what is envisioned.
- David Kelley: offered "list service" services - can also serve as a
bulletin board.
- Corbin: to get URL site up and operational with possibility of
"moving" site later.
7. ITSA Development Strategy-Comments
Possibility offer one to two page statement on behalf of TIM Committee,
IEEE Committee, ITSA Emergency Service Committee on importance of Traffic
Incident Management, recognize Traffic Incident Management issues.

- Coordinate with Dave Helman re: NIMC
- Update/Develop TIM brochure by end of May, Fed Ex brochures to Steve
Levine for use at the I-95 meetings
- Coordinate support/participation for mid-September Incident

members (email directory in MSWord)
- Prepare statement in response to ITSA Deployment Strategy
